No support, not parts, no service.MotoTec: What Happens When the Bike Breaks? I spent about $1,200 on a MotoTec electric bike for my son, expecting that if anything went wrong, there would be some level of support, accountability, and warranty service behind the brand. What I discovered is that buying a MotoTec product and getting it serviced appear to be two completely different experiences. The bike was purchased in November 2025. Because we live in Washington State, it spent most of the winter in the garage. By April, my son had only ridden it around a dozen times for short rides on our cul-de-sac. The bike still looked nearly brand new. No crashes. No abuse. No heavy use. Only a few battery charges. Then it stopped working. That was nearly two months ago. Since then, dealing with MotoTec has been an absolute nightmare. Instead of having a U.S.-based service center, repair network, or someone who could simply diagnose and fix the issue, I found myself communicating with someone from High-Per.com named Vincy. To this day, I still don't know exactly what his relationship to MotoTec is, whether he works for MotoTec, represents MotoTec, or simply handles warranty claims on their behalf. What I do know is that every response takes anywhere from 2 to 7 days. Every email seems to introduce a new delay. Every week brings a new explanation. And seven weeks later, my son's bike is still sitting broken. At this point I have spent hours doing work that should never have been the customer's responsibility. I have: * Tested battery voltage * Inspected wiring * Opened electrical compartments * Checked connectors * Diagnosed motor issues * Taken apart major portions of the bike * Sent photos and videos * Followed troubleshooting instructions repeatedly At one point I was actually sent a video in Chinese showing how to troubleshoot a different bike model. I'm not joking. Imagine spending $1,200 in U.S. dollars on a bike sold to American customers and then being asked to diagnose it yourself while
